Actually, I can’t wait to say it and mean it! “Thank God it’s Friday” is used to express the joy one feels in knowing that the work week has officially ended and that they have two days off with which to enjoy. Enjoy being at home (by choice!), going out, meeting friends and family…In times of lockdown I feel like I’m lost between workdays and weekends as I try to fill all my time with activities. To be honest, I have been very busy as I’m getting ready to open a plant-based fast food next month; but this is a subject for another post! Tonight, I want to share a cocktail that I created with vegan honey that turns out to be delicious. Please note that I am not a professional bartender therefore I got inspiration from the Difford’s Guide, when searching for cocktails with honey. So, without further ado, let’s get ready to make BEE APPROVED’S BEE’S KNEES 😉
To start, you gonna need:
50ml of gin
25ml of chilled Pilsner
22.5ml lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
10ml of orange juice (freshly squeezed)
4 spoons of Bee Approved (don’t worry, vegan honey is lighter and less sweet than normal honey)
How to make it:
Before you start, a very important note: do not put the ice before dissolving Bee Approved with the other ingredients!
Vigorously stir the gin, lemon juice, orange juice and honey in a pint glass until the vegan honey is dissolved.
Fill the glass with ice. Top with beer and give it a gentle shake to combine. Use a strainer to hold the ice while pouring in a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a lemon or orange slice.

PS.: try to do it with a friend, otherwise you are going to end up with a yummy cocktail and an almost full bottle of beer…I drank it all, as we Brazilian love anything with beer and my mother didn’t raise a quitter lol
